ABOUT:
Gaby Castro is an Americana-indie-pop singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet, model, actress, and activist raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently located in St. Paul, MN. Her third studio album, “Love Always,” was recorded with Grammy-nominated producer and artist Robert Berry in July of 2014 and completed in August of 2015 at Soundtek Studios in Campbell, CA. Three singles were released, “Shy” in September 2014, “You Didn’t Have To” in January 2015, and “Blow Me Away” in August 2015. Her new album consists of 13 tracks ranging from crash-and-burn heartbreak to messages of love and hope, with some mentions of childhood and hometown nostalgia. The sound and feel for the record was influenced by a number of different genres and musicians, mostly centering on a modern Americana style. The songwriting incorporates the lyrical power of Carole King, infectious hooks of Taylor Swift, and storytelling feel of Jewel. A strumming songbird of the 21st century, Gaby has made a name for herself in the Bay Area and Twin Cities.
